Is a loved one losing their ability to manage their own affairs?

It may be time to consider the benefits created by a Power of Attorney.

This legal document authorizes an individual to manage your assets for you. At the Credit Union we offer a Limited Power of Attorney. This only entitles the attorney power of your assets in our financial institution. A Power of Attorney drawn up by a lawyer would enable management of all assets owned, including property.

Caution should be taken when making an account joint in a situation like this, as power still belongs to the joint account holder, should the primary account holder pass away.
